Behind Blue Eyes
He barely slept, and when he dared to close his eyes, all he saw was their eyes staring back at him. Brilliant blue eyes staring into his soul. Blue eyes still so full of life, so full of the possibilities of time and the world before them.
But it was because of him those blue eyes saw no more. They would never sparkle in laughter, glitter in mischievousness, look to him for help. It was because of his choices those eyes were closed forever.
Forever. He had forever to remember the dead. Forever to remember those blue eyes.
