I sent this email to my aunt today. But at its core is something we need to.remind ourselves about: we are not perfect. We have scars from injuries, we fight with our weight, we have hair that always seems to do some weird floppy thing... but that's not the important bit.

"I will be sending you the pictures next time I have email access, which will be tomorrow.

But, right now I want to say something. I am the last person to put up on Facebook unflattering photos, especially of people I care about. (I will admit, sometimes they look different on a bigger screen like you have...) You are beautiful. You are a phenomenal woman. You care for your family, for your puppies, look after your Mom, took awesome care of your Dad8 through everything he went, loved and looked after Grandma and Grandpa, try to fill in for my Mom when you can, and look after all your nieces and nephews (and we haven't even started what you do for people like Domingo and Kristie's friends...)

You are not a blimp, or anything like that. And, you are trying to change yourself, that is always good. But, you know what makes me love that photo from Kristie's graduation? It's not what you are wearing or how your hair looked (although it looked cute than mine did that day), it's the look on your face. Your face is gorgeous, your daughter has graduated. A daughter you never thought you would have has taken a very major step in her life and you couldn't be prouder. That face and that love pulls the viewer in and that is why I love that picture. The looks on all of your faces; the love. I hope you understand that.

I love you,
*Carole Marie*"

Am I right?
