Bugged Out
“Owen Harper…”
Owen bolted awake, scanning the dark room with his eyes. “Who’s there?”
There was a scurrying at the end of the bed and a cluster of eight glowing green eyes stared back at him. “I come to warn—”
“What the bloody hell are you?”
“I came from a far solar system to tell you—”
Owen turned on the lamp next to the bed and was face-to-face with a six-inch purple spider. “Fuck no,” Owen said as he threw a book at the creature, smashing it. He was tired and hated work coming home with him.
